About the recording...
"After hearing Lorri sing, I realized that the highest compliment any recording engineer could pay an artist was to do his best work silently. That special magic that trancends between artist and audience should not be tampered with. Lorri and Mike's music, which is usually performed in a small intimate setting, begs to be left in its natural state, devoid of obvious electronic effects so prevelant in popular music. The clear sound and naturally wide dynamic range of Lorri's voice could be ruined by any other approach. Listen particularly to "My Funny Valentine," "Something Cool," and "Midnight Sun." It may be difficult for you to believe that this was not recorded in a studio- but in my living room! We reccommend that after a hard day at the office, you through your feet up and end enjoy "Something Cool" with something cool.
